Have you ever reached a point where life felt too painful to continue? Or known someone who has thought about ending their life? These feelings of despair are real, and you're not alone in facing them. But before those thoughts go any further, there's something important you need to know, that Islam strictly prohibits suicide.

Punished According to How They Ended Their Life Rasulullah (ﷺ) said: "Whoever kills himself with a piece of iron (sharp weapon), he will remain in the Fire of Hell with that iron in his hand, continuously stabbing himself in the stomach forever.Whoever kills himself with poison, he will continue drinking it in the Fire of Hell, remaining there forever. And whoever kills himself by throwing himself from a mountain, he will continue falling in the Fire of Hell, remaining there forever."

Heaven is Prohibited to Them Rasulullah (ﷺ) said: "There was once a man who was wounded. In his despair, he took a knife and cut his hand. His blood continued to flow until he died. Allah the Exalted said: 'My servant hastened his soul before Me, so I have forbidden Paradise for him.'"

In Surah An-Nisa': 29, Allah says: " Do not kill yourselves. Surely Allah is ever Merciful to you."
